VERY IMPORTANT! Please read the policies IN FULL before placing an order. Most of the common keg-related questions will be answered in the following paragraphs.

KEG CUSTOMERS: Many of the local breweries, brewpubs, and distributors will sell you a keg directly, often at the same price they sell it to us, therefore we cannot match their prices. Your best option may be to contact them first. If you choose to purchase a keg from us please carefully read and understand this page.

SPECIAL ORDERS: For special orders please call during regular office hours (9am-5pm Monday through Friday) and allow 3-4 days lead time. Lead time for smaller breweries may be a little longer.

A barrel (Bbl) is the standard method of measuring containers of beer. Depending on the brewery, beers are kegged in various size containers, as follows:

1/2 barrel = 15.5 gallons = 124 pints = 165 12oz bottles
13.2 gallon keg (50 Ltr) = 105 pints = 140 12oz bottles
1/4 barrel (30 Ltr) = 7.75 gallons = 62 pints = 83 12oz bottles
1/6 barrel (20 Ltr) = 5.2 gallons = 41 pints = 55 12oz bottles
If multiple sizes are available from a given brewery they'll be listed here. Many of the smaller craft breweries ONLY use 1/2 Bbl kegs.

We rent Sankey and Euro Sankey pumps. There is a $12.00 rental fee for 3 days. Unlike many other places, we have our pumps professionally cleaned and sanitized after each rental. Some European kegs require more complicated taps such as Euro-sliders, which we do not carry. Call Steinbart's (503-232-8793) for more information on renting Euro-sliders, jockey boxes and Co2 tanks. Additionally, some kegs require a special gas blend (i.e: Guinness) and WILL NOT work with a standard party pump. These kegs are denoted by the phrase NITRO after the listing. If you have a home draught system and are interested in tapping some of these special beers, please give Steinbart's a call and they can tell you what equipment you'll need.

We also rent buckets to hold the keg and keep it cold with ice. Bucket rental is $8.00 for 3 days. We have ice at $1.49 per bag.

DEPOSITS:There is a $40 deposit for every keg, $60 deposit for every tap, and $30 deposit for every bucket. There is a $10 service charge for every rental order (regardless of how many kegs, taps, buckets on the order). The Service Charge is waived for CASH sales.

Kegs, taps and buckets are due back within (3) days from the date of sale. There is a $2 per day per item late fee. You can avoid the keg deposit by bringing us an empty keg of a currently distributed beer when you rent your keg. If you bring us a keg and you do not rent a tap or bucket there is no service charge.

If you want to keep the keg longer the deposit is non-refundable. However the next time you get a keg there is no deposit charge, assuming you trade in your previous keg.

In order to get your deposit back, you must bring back the rented items AND your receipt. You must return with the receipt to get your deposit back. If there is a charge card or debit card sale YOU MUST bring the same card used for the purchase. (Don't blame us, it's the law). Absolutely no deposit refunds without the receipt.
