We are continuing our month long brewery showcase with Von Ebert on Thursday with an awesome bottle tasting in the bottle shop.
Von Ebert makes some of the best IPA's and lagers out there. But did you know they also have a complete line of wild and mixed culture beers?
They call these the Heritage Beer Program:
Each Heritage Beer label prominently features a photograph showcasing the farm where some of that specific beer’s ingredients, such as fruit or herbs, were grown. Most of these photographs are taken by the farmer who planted and harvested the highlighted ingredient, with the label including a photo credit for the farmer.
“Local agriculture plays such an important role in our Heritage Beers,” explained Sam Pecoraro, Head Brewer, Von Ebert Brewing. “We wanted to use the labels of those beers to pay tribute to the farming partners who have helped us produce them, while also making that farming connection even more obvious to consumers.”
Here is what you can expect to see at the tasting:
Rain Shadows - Oak-aged mixed culture beer fermented with whole-cluster Syrah (dark ripe berry, black pepper, elegant)
2021 Oregon Beer Awards-SILVER-Fruited Mixed Culture Beers
Antoine - A blend of puncheon-aged mixed culture beers brewed with Kentucky Bluegrass, Egyptian Chamomile & Pink Rose Petals; tart, floral, rustic.
Alma - Foeder-aged farmhouse ale with brettanomyces & organic peaches; (stone fruit, funk, botanical )

And just a reminder. Both charities that we are working with this month as well will be benefiting from all sales of Von Ebert draft sold and package product sold. A portion of all sales at the end of the month will go to both Lines For Life and Portland Dachshund Rescue. You can also donate directly at the bar. Just ask your bartender how you can help today!
