Belmont Station Holiday Beer Boxes Are Back!

It's that time of the year again where our Holiday Beer Boxes make their return. Each year, our wonderful staff picks out beers that they are super stoked on and know you all would enjoy. We then compile these picks into one box, hand wrap them and add a special little something to each of them. You can purchase one of these for yourself, a friend or family member, or whomever you think would appreciate one!

FIVE lucky people will open their box to a special GOLDEN TICKET. This ticket gets you additional items in the bottle shop on your next visit! Maybe you will be one of the lucky five this year.

In previous years we have made these boxes to fit 24 different beers and ciders as sort of an advent calendar. This year we are shrinking it down to 12 different beers/ciders. We feel 12 is a solid number of beverages to enjoy without it being overwhelming. And also this way, you can save the box for the Holidays or open it whenever you want! Even though there are only 12 in this years Holiday Box, we assure you, our staff didn't mess around. The picks are pretty magical this year!

Price of this years Holiday Box is $75.00

If you didn't pre-order one, you are in luck! We saved a few extras that will be available for purchase on Friday, November 29th till they are sold out! Get one as soon as you can!

If you DID pre-order a box, you can start picking them up on Friday, November 29th.

And a last reminder, we cannot accept payment over the phone, so you will have to pay for the box when you pick it up in the bottle shop.

Stone Circle Cider Tasting and Spiced Holiday Mulled Cider On Draft!

Stone Circle Cider is based just outside of Portland in Estacada, Oregon. They produce traditional English style ciders with some of the best ingredients found in the Pacific Northwest. As they say, you can't make great wine with table grapes and the same goes for ciders. That's why they use a blend of English bittersweet apples with American heirloom apples in all of their ciders.

During the Holiday Season, Stone Circle makes a very special spiced mulled cider. This cider is hot, sweet, spicy, and boozy. It's everything a winter drink should be. They take their dry cider and infuse cinnamon, ginger, whole cloves, star of anise, and lemon juice. All you need to do is add brown sugar and serve warm for the perfect addition to any holiday celebration. We will be doing the leg work on this night by serving this very special drink in the bar for you! Come warm your hands with a glass of it and see for yourself what the Holidays in a glass is all about!

In the bottle shop, Stone Circle will be tasting out the rest of their ciders for free. You can then purchase cans to take home with you as well as a jug of the mulled cider if you would like!

AVAILABLE TO TASTE IN THE BOTTLE SHOP:

Farmhouse Dry - Traditional "scrumpy" dry cider

Blackberry Sage - Dry cider with blackberry and sage

Sour Pear - Tart Perry style cider

Farmhouse Sweet - Traditional semi sweet cider

Maletis Beverage Distribution Showcase: Coastal Night!

When working with Maletis and talking about an event showcasing beer from the Oregon Coast, a couple breweries come to mind. Buoy Beer Company located in beautiful Astoria and Pelican Brewing Company out of Pacific City. We want to bring the coastal vibes to you!

Come on down and try some of this wonderful beers meticulously crafted on our beautiful Oregon Coast!

FEATURED ON DRAFT:

Buoy Decapitator - Barrel aged Doppelbock

Buoy Love Lost At Sea - Barrel aged barleywine

Pelican Pilsner - Pilsner

Pelican Bad Santa - CDA

ABOUT BUOY BEER CO:

"Our story begins with a vision: In the early 2010s, local arborist and entrepreneur Luke was seeking a way to make a bigger impact in the Astoria community. Luke entertained several different ideas, but none quite fit the vision he had of bringing people together and celebrating the local culture.

During this time, Luke had a client named Dan who had a successful home brewery operation in Seaside. After enjoying Dan’s Lager recipes that he had been perfecting for more than 40 years, Luke began tossing around the idea of a brewery. He brought it up to Dan, suggesting he be the founding brewer. He also reached out to his brother-in-law Dave, his business advisor and longtime friend Jerry, and local businessman Andrew.

The founders scouted out talented people throughout the Pacific Northwest to build a team of dedicated, passionate workers. These individuals have built Buoy Beer Company into what it is today, and many continue to be a part of its ongoing story."

ABOUT PELICAN BREWING COMPANY:

"Pelican Brewing Company was born at the beach in Pacific City in 1996. Here, in front of a rundown old building at the water’s edge, stood three enthusiastic young folks whose thirst for great beer overshadowed their understanding of what it would take to build a brewery. They did it anyway. And now twenty years later, older, and wiser, Pelican Brewing Company is a craft beer industry leader with fans throughout the Northwest and around the world. Today we’ve taken our breweries and our values to other Oregon coastal towns where we wake up each day in a place that reminds us that amazing is possible. Cheers fellow fanatics. This is as good as it gets."

The Greatest Show is a collaboration IPA brewed with Breakside and Belmont Station. We have it on draft currently and will throughout the month of November. But you can be the first to take home this show stopping IPA in cans!

Juicy meets West Coast in this IPA that has notes peach, tangerine & diesel.

"It's everything you ever want

It's everything you ever need

And it's here right in front of you

This is where you wanna be(ER)"

MORE FROM BREAKSIDE ABOUT THE GREATEST SHOW:

Our enthusiasm for West Coast IPA knows few bounds, and we have spent the last two or three years staying laser focused on where clear IPA-- Northwest, West Coast, American, or whatever subgenre of it you want to name -- has been and is going. Amazingly, after years of refining these beers, we are still as excited to try out new ideas, and we jumped at the opportunity to try something new when Belmont Station asked if we would brew a special batch for them.

This is not a scale up of an existing small batch recipe. We went straight to the big brew- house with this one: stonefruit-forward Krush has become a staple of our hop repertoire in the last 18 months, but we have not tried pairing it with Citra very much. These two hops became fast friends in the pint-- Citra's soft citric notes are a great foil to the richer, almost overripe peach and mango notes from Krush. A dash of NZ-grown Nectaron brings some petrol, diesel, and a touch of melon to the whole affair. The beer leans more soft, juicy, and fruit-forward than resinous and bitter. Enjoy this fun iteration of modern West Coast IPA, and be sure to thank the crew at Belmont Station for their indefatigable support for creativity and innovation in local craft beer.

AVAILABLE ON DRAFT:

Breakside The Greatest Show - IPA brewed in collaboration with Belmont Staiton

Breakside Cheers To The Land - California coastal lager

Breakside Shasta Taffy - Barrel aged imperial stout brewed in collaboration with Salt & Straw

Breakside Somebody New In The Old West - Blended barrel aged imperial stout

Block 15 Distribution Showcase Month: An Evening With de Garde Brewing!

de Garde Brewing was founded by husband and wife duo Trevor and Lindsey Rogers in 2013. They specialize in barrel aging and using wild yeast from the Oregon Coast to make some of the most complex and sought after beers in the world. In fact, in 2016, they were awarded 5th best brewery in the world.

Most of their beers are aged from 6 months up to 5 YEARS!

However, before the beer goes into barrels and fruit is added at times, the wort of the beer gets put into a coolship. A cool ship is a large rectangular open-air storage unit where the beer can cool for 24-72 hours and pick up the naturally occurring microflora in the air resulting in spontaneous fermentation. de Garde uses special fans to direct the airflow in the brew house to sort of direct the natural occurring fermentation. And the end goal is to produce a very balanced acidity for their sour beers.

In 2017, de Garde announced that they are finally taking the steps to make wine. Something, Trevor and Lindsey wanted to do for a long time.

As of now, they have 4 wines available and you can try them at Belmont Station on Monday October 21st!

Lambiek Fabriek Draft Showcase! Only location in Oregon!

"Lambiek Fabriek is a lambic producer that was founded by Jo Panneels and Jozef Van Bosstraeten in 2016, and is located in Sint-Pieters-Leeuw. The word “Fabriek” in the name stands for their original brew site in the “Fabriekstraat” in Ruisbroek (Sint-Pieters-Leeuw). The ram skull logo and the round shaped labels were specifically chosen to step away from the classic (paint stripe) labels on the market and thus to give Lambiek Fabriek its own identity. Another feature that represents Lambiek Fabriek’s identity on the market is that all the names of the products in their line-up end by “-Elle”."

Join us on September 19th for a very special celebration of all things Lambic! We have the privilege to offer a flight of very exclusive and never before seen Lambic beers from Lambiek Fabriek. Get down here and taste these for yourself and see how complex and meticulously crafted they are. Belmont Station is the only place in Oregon where you will be able to try all four!

WHAT IS LAMBIC?

Lambic is a Belgian beer that's brewed with wild yeast and raw wheat in wooden casks, and fermented for at least a year. It's a type of Belgian ale that's different from most other beers because it's fermented using wild yeasts and bacteria that are native to the Zenne valley, rather than cultivated brewer's yeast. This process gives lambic a distinctive flavor that's dry, vinous, and cider-like, with a tart aftertaste.

AVAILABLE ON DRAFT:

Lambiek Fabriek Muscar-Elle - Lambic with Muscaris grapes

Lambiek Fabriek Black-Belle - Oak aged lambic with black currant

Lambiek Fabriek Blue-Belle - Lambic with Muscat Bleu grapes

Lambiek Fabriek Natur-Elle - Gold medal winning blend of vintage Lambic
